Bending Water with Static

Bending Water with Static

Try bending water with electricity created by hair care your hair or rubbing it with AN inflated balloon, will it very be done? provides it a attempt to realizeout!
The same experiment  can be done with a comb or a balloon.

Materials Required:

A plastic comb (or AN inflated balloon)
slim stream of water from a faucet
Dry hair

Procedure

Step 1:

Turn on the water thus it's falling from the faucet during a slim stream (just a number of millimetres across however not droplets).

      Step 2:

Run the comb through your hair even as you unremarkably would oncebrushing it (do this around ten times).

Step 3:
If you're employing a balloon then rub it back and forth against your hair for a number of seconds.

Step 4:

Slowly move the comb or balloon towards the stream of water (without touching it) whereas look closely to ascertain what happens.

Conclusion :

The electricity you designed up by hair care your hair or rubbing it against the balloon attracts the stream of water, bending it towards the comb or balloon like magic!
Negatively charged particles known aselectrons jump from your hair to the comb as they rub along, the comb currently has additional electronand is charged.
The water options each positive and charged particles and is neutral.
Positive and negative charges ar drawn to one another thus once you move the charged comb (or balloon) towards the stream, it attracts the water's chargedparticles and therefore the stream bends!
